南水北调（汉英对照）

新中国之初，毛主席视察黄河时提出南水北调构想，他说：“南方水多，北方水少，如有可能，借点水来也是可以的。”

二十一世纪初，南水北调工程开始通水，毛主席的愿望成为现实。
南水北调事关中华民族的长远发展。

Water
At the beginning of New China, when Chairman Mao inspected Yellow River, he proposed the idea of South-to-North Water Transfer.
Chairman Mao said: "There is more water in the South and less water in the North. It is possible to transfer water to the North from the South."
At the beginning of 21st century, the South-to-North Water Transfer Project began to work, and Chairman Mao’s wish became a reality.
The South-to-North Water Transfer Project is related to the long-term development of Chinese Nation.
